Maori Initiatives: Introduction
Maori Initiatives Charitable Trust (MI) is proud to play a part in our awesome nation as a kingdom enterprise contributor in economic development.
Our registered Trust along with our non-for-profit housing enterprise; Te WA Kainga ltd and Kingdom Rhythms exists to; Reconcile poverty with prosperity of the heart for whanau, hapu, iwi and nga hau e wha!
MI advocates for Kingdom Living in Practice (KLIP, Matt 6:9-10,33) through the Whata Atea, Whare wananga and Whata Hakari (network exchange hub for Manaakitanga and kotahitanga in business)
Te kakano o nga Whata Hakari: The Seed of the vision
It was in a humble westie shed in Henderson Auckland NZ in 2017 where the seed of Kingdom Economic Reconciliation first sprouted with Steve Hutana – Ngati Porou and Denny Hansen - Ngapuhi Iwi.
The vision was not sought or hatched but emerged out of two bodies of work completely unconnected. Both were actively engaged in national and international reconciliation and business between the colonizer and Tangata whenua – peoples of the land.
Conventional western styled economics places emphasis on the physical realm whereas a Maori worldview of ohanga – economics draws holistically on Mana Atua (Trinity), Mana Tangata (Whanau) and Mana Whenua (Whakapapa) realms simultaneously.
Maori Initiatives Trust (MI) is Ihu Karaiti - Yeshua centred, Tikanga Maori led, in partnership via Tiriti o Waitangi. MI advocates for “kingdom living in practice” (Matt 6:9-10,33) via the Whata Atea (Hohou rongo) and Whata Hakari (Networking exchange hub).

Maori Initiatives Vision:
“Preserve Enhance Mana Atua, Mana Tangata, Mana Whenua’’
Maori Initiatives Trust applies kawa and tikanga protocols provide; an applied restriction of tapu for moving between spiritual and physical realms. Tikanga is administered by Maori Initiatives kaitiaki stewards in keeping with Maori customary practice.
Maori Initiatives Mission:
” To Champion Te Ira Tangata - Prosperity of the Heart for; Whanau, Hapu, Nga hau e wha”
To reconcile pohara poverty with te ira tangata – improved quality of life for whanau, hapu, iwi, business and nations through kingdom enterprise, on the Whata Hakari network exchange hub for business.

Mauri:
3 John 1:2
9 In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.
Matt 6:9-10
Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.
3 John 1:2
